- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, diced onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, and brown the meatballs for about 5 minutes.
- In the same skillet, sauté chopped onions until translucent, then add garlic and tomato paste.
- Deglaze the skillet with red wine and beef broth, then add the browned meatballs back into the mixture and let simmer for 30 minutes.
- Carefully transfer the meatballs to plates and drizzle with the red wine gravy before serving.
