Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add your choice of noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 7-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
  3. Stir in chili paste, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper flakes into the sautéed garlic. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to meld flavors.
  4. Add the cooked noodles into the pan with the chili sauce. Toss for about 2 minutes until well-coated.
  5. Taste and adjust the seasoning, adding honey or more red pepper flakes if desired.
  6. Serve immediately on plates, garnished with additional red pepper flakes or sesame seeds if desired.
