Crab Mixture
  • 1 cup Lump Crab Meat Fresh or canned works perfectly!
  • 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard Yellow mustard can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce Omit if you don't have it.
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning Any seafood seasoning mix is acceptable.
Binding and Structure
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Panko for extra crispiness is recommended.
  • 1 large Eggs Flaxseed meal with water works for a vegan option.

  • to taste Pepper
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 medium Jalapeños Diced for a spicy twist.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs (Dill or Parsley) Chopped for added freshness.

Method
 

Crab Ball Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the lump crab meat, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and Old Bay seasoning.
  2. Gradually mix in the breadcrumbs until the mixture is somewhat cohesive.
  3. Crack the eggs into the mixture and stir until well combined.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Shape the mixture into balls about 1 inch in diameter.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat until shimmering.
  7. Fry the crab balls in batches for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  8. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
