Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, prepare 1 pound of ground pork, breaking it up gently.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and any optional spices thoroughly.
  3. Carefully pour the spice mixture over the ground pork and fold it in gently.
  4. Divide the mixture into 4 to 6 portions and shape each into patties about ½ inch thick.
  5. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for 5 minutes on each side.
  6. Allow the cooked patties to rest on a paper towel-lined plate for 3-5 minutes before serving.
