Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar for about 10 minutes until thick and pale.
  3. Gently fold in the sifted flour and pour into a greased 9-inch cake pan.
  4. Bake for around 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. In a bowl, combine boiling milk and sugar until dissolved and soak the cooled cake layers.
  6. Beat together sour cream and sugar until fluffy, mix with dissolved gelatin and milk.
  7. Pour the mousse mixture over soaked cake layers and refrigerate for 3-4 hours.
  8. Heat heavy cream and pour over chocolate chips to make ganache, whisking until smooth.
  9. Pour ganache over the set mousse and chill until firm.
