- Soak the stale bread roll or white bread in 1/4 cup of milk for about 5 minutes until soft. Gently squeeze out excess milk.
- Transfer soaked bread to a large mixing bowl. Add ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, mustard, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add egg and chopped parsley, and mix thoroughly.
- Shape the mixture into uniform patties about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan over medium heat until it shimmers.
- Add the shaped patties to the hot oil in a single layer and fry for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip each patty and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until cooked through.
- Transfer cooked patties to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Serve warm with sauerkraut or creamy potato salad.
