  • 1 pound Ground Beef opt for lean ground beef
  • 4 cups Green Cabbage shredded, napa cabbage can be used
  • 1 medium Onion diced, yellow or white preferred
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce or coconut aminos for gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar apple cider vinegar can be used instead
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger fresh ginger is an excellent alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes adjust to taste
  • 2 scallions Green Onions chopped, for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Toasted Sesame Seeds optional topping

Cooking Steps
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, breaking it up with a spatula until it is no longer pink.
  2. Drain any excess fat from the skillet, then add diced onions and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until the onions become translucent.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and ground ginger, cooking for an additional 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add shredded cabbage to the skillet and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes, until tender but still slightly crunchy.
  5. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes, then pour over the beef and cabbage in the skillet.
  6. Toss to coat, let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
