Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, orange zest, and salt.
- Cut the cold butter into small pieces and rub it into the dry mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gently fold in the dried cranberries until evenly dispersed.
- Slowly pour in the cold heavy whipping cream and stir until a dough begins to form.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface, press into a disc about 3-4 cm thick.
- Cut out scones using a round cutter and place them 3 cm apart on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden on top.
