Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (170°C).
- Mix all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Add eggs, heavy cream, whole milk, and vanilla extract; whisk until smooth.
- Chill the batter in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
- Line a 7.5-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
- Pour the chilled batter into the lined pan and arrange sliced apples on top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes; cover with aluminum foil if it browns too quickly.
- Check doneness with a skewer; it should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
