  3. In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Fold into wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Add buttermilk and mix in the sweetened flaked coconut until evenly distributed.
  5. Distribute batter evenly between the pans, topping with sliced bananas and macadamia nuts.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool in pans for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
