- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
- Lay the puff pastry flat on the tray, ensuring it covers the surface well.
- Score the puff pastry into thirds, leaving the center section intact for filling.
- Cut diagonally from each corner towards the scoring line to prepare for braiding.
- Remove the small triangle located between the center and outer strips.
- Spoon the lemon curd into the center of the pastry, spreading it evenly.
- Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cornflour until smooth.
- Fold over the alternating strips from each side over the filling to create the braid.
- Seal the ends of the braid by pressing the edges together and brush the top with a beaten egg.
- Bake for 17 to 22 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Cool on a wire rack for about 30 minutes before slicing into portions.
