  • 3 Green onions chopped
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce gluten-free if needed
  • 2 tablespoons Arrowroot powder or cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic fresh is best
  • 1 tablespoon Avocado oil for cooking
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil for cooking
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice for mayo
For the Spicy Mayo
  • 2 tablespoons Remaining mayonnaise reserved from the cakes
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Combine the drained tuna, chopped green onions, egg, soy sauce, arrowroot powder, mayonnaise, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl and stir until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into approximately 2-inch patties and place on a plate.
  3. Heat avocado oil and sesame oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot.
  4. Fry the patties for about 2 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Whisk together remaining mayonnaise, lime juice, sriracha, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a small bowl until smooth.
  6. Remove the tuna cakes from the skillet, serve with the spicy mayo, and enjoy!
