  • 2 tablespoons Paprika Use Hungarian for extra heat.
  • 2 teaspoons Sea Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust for spice level.
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil Can substitute with olive oil or butter.
  • 1 medium Sweet Onion Sliced.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Optional for extra heat.
  • 2 cups Low Sodium Chicken Stock Vegetable stock is a great alternative.
  • 1 cup Sour Cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt or crème fraîche.

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Mix flour with paprika, salt, and pepper. Dredge chicken and set aside flour mixture.
  2. Heat oil in skillet. Brown chicken for 3 minutes on each side until golden.
  3. Sauté sliced onion, cayenne pepper, and remaining paprika until onions are soft.
  4. Return chicken to pot, add stock, and simmer for 45 minutes until cooked.
  5. Combine reserved flour with sour cream. Add to pot and simmer for 5 minutes to thicken.
