Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch until smooth. Add sliced beef, ensuring each piece is coated, and marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips, and mince garlic and grate ginger.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat, add marinated beef, and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. In the same skillet, add more oil if necessary and sauté bell peppers and onion for 3-4 minutes until tender.
  5. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Return seared beef to skillet, pour in broth or water, and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot over jasmine rice or noodles.
