Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Boil the eggs by placing them in a saucepan, covering with cold water, and bringing to a boil. Cover and simmer for 12 minutes, then cool in an ice bath.
  2. Once cool, peel the eggs under running water, slice in half, and remove yolks into a medium bowl.
  3. Mash yolks with avocado until smooth. Stir in mayonnaise, lime juice, jalapeño, and cilantro. Season with cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Adjust seasoning as necessary to ensure a delicious balance of flavor.
  5. Fill egg whites with the creamy mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  6. Garnish with smoked paprika, jalapeño slices, and cilantro leaves. Chill for at least 30 minutes.

Notes

These deviled eggs can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge. The avocado filling can be made a day in advance, but fill the eggs just before serving.
