Step-by-Step Instructions for Sweet Chili Halloumi Wraps
- Begin by slicing your halloumi cheese evenly into ½-inch thick pieces. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a splash of olive oil. Once the oil is shimmering, carefully add the halloumi slices, frying for about 2–3 minutes on each side or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- While the halloumi is cooking, prep your vegetables by thinly slicing the red bell pepper and red onion, then julienne the cucumber. Tear the lettuce leaves into manageable pieces for assembly.
- To assemble, take a tortilla wrap and spread a thin layer of sweet chili sauce across its surface. Layer the crispy halloumi and colorful vegetables on top. Add any optional toppings as desired.
- To secure the wraps, fold the bottom edge of the tortilla over the filling and roll tightly. Optionally place back in the skillet for about 1–2 minutes on each side until slightly toasted.
