Preparation Steps
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, grated fresh ginger, and honey over medium heat. Stir gently until honey dissolves and bring to a boil. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove saucepan from heat and stir in freshly squeezed lemon juice. Allow mixture to cool for at least 15 minutes.
- In a serving pitcher, pour in the remaining 6 cups of cold water. Add cooled ginger-lemon syrup, stirring well to combine.
- Refrigerate ginger lemonade for at least 30 minutes to chill thoroughly. Optional: serving over ice with a lemon wedge or ginger slice garnish.
